It allows you to choose your favorite team and uses those team colors for your backgrounds and menus. It also, of course, lets you choose which teams to play.

The controls are great, and while its not as life-like as Xbox360 and PS3, its still loads of fun for kids and adult football fans alike!

No matter how old you are or how much you know about football, anyone can play because it gives you choices of plays, and you can even “Ask Madden” to have him give you the best play available. There are Advanced playbooks for those NFL pros.

There are plenty of game options including online play, 4-player mode (which is great when you have friends over or perfect for Thanksgiving), and Road to the Superbowl.

We love this game because its simple enough for the kids, but entertaining enough for the football men of the house.

Make sure you grab a copy of Madden NFL 10 because this is the best football game of the year!

But, I’d have to say that other racing games, like Mario Kart, are more fun. Admittedly, we are not NASCAR fans, so that aspect of the game is lost on us. You can choose to drive as one of your favorite NASCAR drivers and familiar race cars. But, with only 6 tracks to choose from, Mario Kart, is a new experience every time.

Nascar Kart Racing does have special options as you race to throw an oil slick, slingshot around the track, or even launch a rocket.

There are a few mini games as well, but overall, if you are not a NASCAR fan, then you’d probably be happier with Mario Kart for a family racing game.

Mario Power Tennis is another one of the Mario Wii games that’s fun for kids of every age. Choose from any of your favorite Nintendo characters, use their special powers, and play tennis like never before.

If you’ve played tennis through Wii Sports, then you may find Mario Tennis more difficult to control. And, it doesn’t seem to detect the amount of power you put into your swing, and for this reason my son was less than impressed.

It does have a multiplayer version which is fun, and the character’s special powers make it more interesting. There are even special, mini games that one player can try that add more to the game than simple tennis.

My son gave Mario Power Tennis 2 out of 5 stars, even though the other Mario games like Super Sluggers and Mario Kart are among his favorite Wii games.

Rayman Raving Rabbids TV Party is the best of the series. These crazy little characters keep even the adults laughing at their antics. You can choose from a wide variety of mini games.

Each game has easy to follow instructions and even demonstrates how to use the controller to play the game. I like the simplicity of it all and kids do too.

Raving Rabbids mimic common games like slalom skiing, but then add a funny twist to each. In this case, instead of skiing on a pair of skiis, you are riding on an upside down yak. It’s all a bit bizarre, but kids love these rabbids.

They even have a Guitar Hero-like game where you can choose to play any of the instruments, and makes its easy for even young kids to join in the fun.

My son and I both liked Rayman Raving Rabbids TV Party, and with so many mini-games to choose from, its difficult to get bored of it.

You have six games to choose from – Yahtzee!, Sorry, Sliders, Connect Four, Boggle, and Battleship. You can play them using the same rules of the traditional games we all know and love, or you can try their new modifications called Connect Four Power Chips, Boggle Portal Cubes, Reverse Yahtzee and Battleship Barrage.

If you’ve got little ones, it’s easier to play these games on the Wii because Hasbro Family Game Night tallies the scores for you, and keeps the games running smoothly by not allowing you to break the rules.

You can customize your game room, and earn new furniture and trophies as you play. I only wish that you could unlock more than just the six games, although the variations do allow you to get more mileage out of the game.

Overall, Hasbro Family Game Night is a fun game that everyone can play, and almost everyone already knows how to play.  A good group of classic games with an exciting new twist. We give this 4 out of 5 stars!

In the classic My Sims style, you can choose a character (Sim) to play with. They’re cute and wholesome just as you’d expect. Kids can even choose their teams to help them win the “festivals” (blocks of mini game competitions).

The mini games were fairly basic and were best for those just learning how to control the Wii remote. I must admit, we only played the first few games, because my 11-year old son got bored within the first 30 minutes of playing. So the games may get more interesting and complex as you unlock them, but we never made it that far.

Within the festivals, there are ‘Surprise Events’ that are in addition to the regular mini-games. But these events don’t pose much challenge or skill either.

My Sims Party was not our favorite. It was far too basic, and for a seasoned Wii player – a real yawn. But if you have little ones, then rent it first before you buy.
