Indiana Jones: Staff of Kings for Wii

Indiana Jones and the Staff of Kings for Wii is a great game. It’s an adventure game that involved fighting and problem solving to create the perfect mix for a ‘movie game’.

Indiana Jones: Staff of Kings

Its rated Teen for mild language and violence, but it was challenging enough that only teens could effectively solve the puzzles and advance in the adventure. My 11 year old son spent hours trying to solve the puzzles and figure out how to conquer each challenge. Keep the level of game playing in mind as you choose Indiana Jones for your kids. If they’re too young, or an inexperienced gamer, they may become frustrated quickly with this game.

Raving Rabbids TV Party Review

Raving Rabbids TV Party is a fun and silly group of mini games for all ages, and both boys and girls will have a blast. It’s rated E10, but I think its appropriate for kids under 10, and the games would be fun for them as well.

Rayman Raving Rabbids TV Party is the best of the series. These crazy little characters keep even the adults laughing at their antics. You can choose from a wide variety of mini games.

Hasbro Family Game Night Review

Hasbro Family Game Night for WiiHasbro Family Game Night for the Wii is a great way to get everyone together – young, old, and even the teenagers! Now, of course you could always play these games the old-fashioned way, but it’s always a little more fun when its on the Wii.

You have six games to choose from – Yahtzee!, Sorry, Sliders, Connect Four, Boggle, and Battleship. You can play them using the same rules of the traditional games we all know and love, or you can try their new modifications called Connect Four Power Chips, Boggle Portal Cubes, Reverse Yahtzee and Battleship Barrage.

X-Men Origins: Wolverine for Wii Review

X-Men Wolverine for WiiX-Men Origins: Wolverine is rated Teen, and if you’re a mom like me, you’re often confused by different levels within the Teen rating. Xmen Wolverine is not like The Simpsons level of Teen rating with cute and obnoxious comments from Bart Simpson. No, this is a ‘closer-to Mature’ Teen rating, with blood, lots of violence and fight scenes, and language that you probably don’t want your 12 year-old listening to. And, just to drive this point home, the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of Xmen Wolverine are rated Mature.

So, with that out of the way, let me tell you this was not one of our favorite Wii games. My son became bored with the fight scenes (which are similar to any Spiderman game you’ve ever played, but with less variations on combos and special powers). Read More …

My Sims Party Review

My Sims Party is a set of 50 mini-games. You start with 3 games and have to unlock the rest as you go. This game targets the 5-8 year olds, and may  still leave your child bored.

My Sims Party Intro

In the classic My Sims style, you can choose a character (Sim) to play with. They’re cute and wholesome just as you’d expect. Kids can even choose their teams to help them win the “festivals” (blocks of mini game competitions).
